A look at the Upcoming Motorola Adventure V750 from Verizon Wireless

Here's a preview of the Rugged Motorola Adventure V750 that will be soon released by Verizon Wireless.

Mobile phone experts expect that the Motorola V750 is one of the two new devices planned to be launched this summer. It will be released along with the introduction of the wireless network's new PTT service.

The Motorola Adventure is being marketed as a rugged handset because it has military specs. This means that the design of the V750 will meet military specs 810F for shock, vibration, solar radiation, high temperature storage, altitude, blowing dust, high and low temperature operation. This is a phone that is built to withstand the pressure of any adventure. That's probably they called it the "Adventure".

The promo materials for the wireless network's upcoming rugged mobile phone indicates that the V750 adventure will offer "High Performance Audio." Customers will be able to reliably make calls in any pout door environment. Well, I expect nothing less with a handset that has passed military specs 810F.

As I've mentioned before the wireless network will launch this phone as part of its PTT program. Naturally, the Motorola Adventure V750 will offer Verizon's PTT. Push-to-Talk or PTT is a communication feature that allows a person to quickly communicate with another PTT subscriber with a press of a button.

Since most of the information on Verizon's Motorola Adventure V750 came from leaked promotion sheets, it's expected that the wireless network will launch the handset in the near future. Here are some details on the Motorola Adventure V750:

  • 2.2 inch high resolution internal display
  • 1.6 external display
  • 2 megapixel Camera with one-touch access to digital imaging

AT&T's HSUPA Upgrade Near Completion

Let me announce some great tidings for AT&T subscribers. The wireless carrier has announced that its entire 3G network will be upgraded to High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology by the end of June .

AT&T's HSUPA is expected to complement the previous upgrade to the wireless network's High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology. If completed, the upgrade will make
AT&T the first U.S. mobile phone service provider to fully deploy HSPA Technology in its wireless network. The upgrade will allow AT&T subscribers speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps (Down), 800 Kbps (Up).

here's a comment released by the carrier's representative:
"The ability to quickly upload large files from a laptop is no longer a luxury — it's a necessity. By fully deploying HSUPA across our 3G footprint, we not only meet the current needs of our customers but also lay the path for our continued evolution to even faster wireless broadband capabilities."

Currently, the super fast 3G wireless network is being offered in more than 275 markets. The 3G network will be available in nearly 350 markets before the end of the year. The new upload speeds complement AT&T's 3G download capabilities, which currently offer up to 1.4 Mbps across all markets. Customers who have capable devices, such as LaptopConnect wireless modems will benefit from this technology.

In the last three years, the company has invested more than $20 billion in network improvements and upgrades. This figure means that an average of $5 billion a year has been spent by AT&T. The mobile phone service provider will be able to reuse valuable 850 MHz spectrum to expand and enhance 3G markets by recently turning down its older TDMA network. AT&T's HSUPA wireless network is positioned to keep up with customer demand. The company envisions to adopt LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology to reach even higher speeds in the long term.

Some experts see the upgrade as Some experts say that this move may be part of the preparation to launch the 3G iPhone. It has been known to the wireless community that Apple's new handset will sport a 3G radio. This rumor is also based in history. Last year, before the release of the EDGE capable iPhone AT&T embarked on a massive EDGE network upgrade.

Here's some excellent wireless network news for Sprint subscribers. Sprint and Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd. has announced that the XOHM wireless network is ready for it's commercial release.

Check out this statement from Barry West, the top man at XOHM:

"This is a major step towards launch readiness and Sprint is extremely pleased with the performance of the mobile WiMAX network and access devices from Samsung. The collaboration with Samsung and our other partners has created a WiMAX ecosystem that has now proven that it can deliver this new technology to the marketplace well ahead of any feasible alternative."

Sprint's XOHM business unit is devoted solely on developing the WiMAX ecosystem and standards to bring the latest broadband wireless technology. Sprint is utilizing the significant spectrum holdings at 2.5 GHz that were combined in the Sprint Nextel merger to deploy mobile WiMAX technology.

The new broadband wireless network from Sprint that offers the speed and mobility of WiMAX has met the demands of rigorous testing. The tests were designed to see if the network can achieve commercial acceptance criteria that includes overall performance, handoff performance and handoff delay.

The extensive evaluation of this high speed wireless network was conducted in the XOHM(TM) lab environment and with the commercial service network being built in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area. Sprint decided to hold the launching commercial WiMAX service in those cities later this year after the vital technical milestone was achieved in the tests.

The wireless network has introduced several WiMAX-enabled devices in preparation for the launching of XOHM. The Express Card (E100 PC Card) and WiMAX embedded UMPC (Q1 Ultra Premium Mobile PC) are already in place for the WiMAX systems being deployed for Sprint in Baltimore and Washington D.C.
